2007 Red Tree Petite Sirah
Although it is not related to the Syrah grape, the Petite Sirah varietal is somewhat similar in its weight, texture, and subtle notes of black pepper. This offering from California brings all that spice and adds luscious layers of ripe wild raspberries and blackberry jam. The wine’s rounded body and low acidity make it an excellent aperitif and a perfect companion to barbecues, chili and Mexican food.
