In 1964 Massimo Vignelli set out with a "design to be semantically correct, syntactically consistent and pragmatically understandable" and created the stackable dinnerware that has been included in the permanent colelction at the Museum of Modern Art/ MOMA. The genius in the design is the way it stacks, maximizing space with tremendous appeal. It became an instant classic.
The design at NorthCreek is stackable and brilliant. NorthCreek lives above the ground or street level retail that covers one city block. The Brownstones at NorthCreek are above the stores along Fillmore that include Hermes, Loroa Piana, and BCBG. The two story Brownstones enter at the second level, and yes, you can actually be above Hermes. In addition to the superior location, the quality of construction at NorthCreek is superior with several sound mitigation principles that block out the noise of the city. The three story Brownstones stack above the grand black marble staircase that leads to the parking garage. The three story Brownstones have entrances on the courtyard.
The Courtyard Flats are not only stackable in the design plan above stores such as Eileen Fisher, SEE and Marmi but the Flats are customizable and can be stackable within. You can purchase and stack a second and third floor Courtyard Flat to maximize views and space or you can join two Flats on the same level. In stacking the Courtyard Flats you gain twice the square footage within the units as well as more exterior deck square footage. Taking a stackable design to new heights!
Stop by NorthCreek for more information and a tour of our luxury retail/residential community. The Sales Center at NorthCreek is located at 2800 East Second Avenue, stacked under the terrace of a Courtyard Flat. We are open seven days a week.
