The EILEEN FISHER store at NorthCreek and Edible Communities Publications co-hosted a local food and wine tasting at 2800 East Second Avenue. Edible Front Range, the publication celebrating local Colorado food, farms and cuisines promoted local wines from Colorado vintners, local breads, cheeses and harvest apples. Colorado's abundant sunshine, warm days and cool nights with consistent low humidity provide perfect conditions for wine grapes. While sipping a merlot, the editor/publisher of Edible Front Range dialogued the merits of edible landscaping with a couple, from Boulder, that converted their backyard lawn into an organic garden.
Ambitious? Perhaps, but forward thinking and green in value. Their edible landscape was featured in the Boulder Daily Camera about a month back, they are just now bringing in the herb pots.
