While medical marijuana dispensaries/centers have been popping up all over, Nicholas King and Susan Harank want you to know that their operation, Alpine Herbal Wellness, 313 Detroit St., is more than a “pot shop.”

Harank is a cancer survivor herself, and King lost his wife to ALS, so both are unfortunately quite familiar with the problem of chronic pain, and options for treatment. Alpine, according to the owners, is “focused on assisting patients with painful ailments in finding the most efficacious herbal remedy possible.” Their emphasis is “on overall wellness, which may or may not include medicinal cannabis.”
