We are excited to be offering a third Scuba Rangers class starting Monday, July 19, 2010. We have just two spaces left!

Classes run 1 pm to 4 pm for the full week - Monday through Friday. The final Friday class is a demonstration of all the scuba skills kids have learned during the week. Scuba Rangers gives kids 8 - 12 the chance to scuba dive in our on-site pool using kid-sized equipment that we provide.

Denver Divers also provides a student kit, daily snacks, and a graduation T-shirt for $275.

We are also offering a class August 9 - 13.

The summer's three remaining club meetings include underwater photography, fish identification, and a "behind-the-scenes" visit to the Denver Aquarium. All kids under 13 are welcome to join the Ranger's Club and enjoy the activities. We have attached a Rangers' flier.

Call or drop by soon. We look forward to seeing you!

While medical marijuana dispensaries/centers have been popping up all over, Nicholas King and Susan Harank want you to know that their operation, Alpine Herbal Wellness, 313 Detroit St., is more than a “pot shop.”

Harank is a cancer survivor herself, and King lost his wife to ALS, so both are unfortunately quite familiar with the problem of chronic pain, and options for treatment. Alpine, according to the owners, is “focused on assisting patients with painful ailments in finding the most efficacious herbal remedy possible.” Their emphasis is “on overall wellness, which may or may not include medicinal cannabis.”

To learn more about Alpine Herbal Wellness, call 303-355-4372 or visit www.alpineherbalwellness.com.
