The hybrid plan will enhance pedestrian, event and retail activity in the area. The BID facilitated a collaborative discussion of many stakeholders, business leaders and City Council leader Jeanne Robb. The design ws approved unanimously by the BID Board. It also received a majority approval from registered neighborhood organizations such as Cherry Creek North, Cherry Creek East and the Country Club Neighborhood Assocation. The plan also received approval from experts within Denver City Planning offices, Public Works and the Denver Fire Department. The new design was paid for by the BID without any city funds.
