A new neighbor in the Cherry Creek North neighborhood,Alpine Herbal Wellness, at 313 Detroit St., is, yes, a medical marijuana dispensary, but so much more. One of the owners, Susan Harank, is a cancer survivor, and her partner Nicholas King lost his wife to ALS, and both know from experience the therapeutic powers of cannabis and other non-traditional healing modalities. The center offers a variety of cannabis strains, medical edibles, medicated ointments, oils and salves, as well non-medicated edibles such as gluten-free fare, and cooking classes. In addition, Alpine maintains a collaborative, alternative Practitioners Network for a variety of treatments and relief, from acupuncture, aromatherapy, chiropractic, to massage, nutrition, sports medicine, yoga, and more.
